Accommodation Charges & Fees

The Department of Social Services sets fees and charges depending on Consumers income. An entry Accommodation Charge (Residential Accommodation Deposit (RAD) or Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) is set by Murravale based on information received from Consumers Centrelink or DVA Assessment. The balance of the bond or the RAD is refunded to the Resident or Resident’s estate when the Consumer leaves Murravale.

Further information about our fees can be found on the My Aged Care website:  https://www.myagedcare.gov.au/

Setting Up Your Room
Consumers are welcome to set up their room as they wish with personal items such as bedside table, chairs pictures and ornaments. Each room has an electric bed and a built-in wardrobe with space available for clothing.

Consumers are welcome to have a landline connected to their room. This will need to be organized by Telstra and paid for by the Consumer. A phone in the main office is available for incoming calls, however should you need to contact family please see staff.

Incoming mail is delivered to Consumers. Outgoing mail may be left at the office for posting. Arrangements can be made for you to receive your own papers and magazines; the newsagent will issue a monthly account directly to the Consumer.

All clothing should be clearly marked with Consumers name. Clothing is laundered on site on a regular basis. Whilst in Hospital, families may arrange for laundry to continue to be done at Murravale.
